A MAN was arrested on suspicion of dealing cannabis in Horsforth.

In response to community concerns regarding drug-dealing in the Horsforth area, officers from the Leeds North West Neighbourhood Policing Team have been patrolling reported hotspots.

On Friday, June 9, officers were patrolling one of these areas when they saw a suspicious vehicle.

A man was subsequently arrested for possession with intent to supply (cannabis) and possession of a knife. He was later bailed for further enquiries.

A spokesperson for the Leeds North West NPT said: "We will be continuing to proactively target the area to deter and detect those involved in drug dealing, and information from the community continues to play a vital role in that work.
