BRADFORD Dudley Hill are making the most of their 75th anniversary celebrations this weekend.

One of Bradford’s most renowned community rugby league clubs have a Yorkshire Men’s League Division Two derby with Wibsey Warriors down at the Neil Hunt Memorial Ground, just two weeks after beating their Bradford rivals 20-14 in the Yorkshire Men’s League Trophy quarter-finals.

But that is just one element of Dudley Hill’s very own ‘Super Saturday’, as they mark three-quarters of a century in existence.

The club’s Under-8s get the day underway in BD4, as they take on Heworth at 11am, before the Under-10s entertain Siddal at 11:45am.

There is then a Masters match taking place between great rivals Dudley Hill and West Bowling at 12:30pm.

The main event, the open age league clash, is a 2:30pm kick-off, which is set to be a fascinating battle between the two neighbours.

Wibsey currently lead the table, but Dudley Hill are only four points back in second, with a game in hand too.

But if you thought that quadruple-header was the only thing going on at the ground tomorrow, you would be very much mistaken.

At 5pm, just after the conclusion of Dudley Hill’s game against Wibsey, live music will start, from popular band The Elements, while there is a DJ and karaoke from 8pm.

Both of those will take place on the pitch.

There will also be stalls, bouncy castles, raffles and auctions on the day, with Dudley Hill keen to welcome players past and present, members, volunteers and spectators to join in with the celebrations.
