A BRADFORD woman has been fined after she was caught driving without due care and attention on a major district road.
Naila Taj, 23, of Bradford, was driving her Volkswagen Golf on Queens Road, Bradford, on July 11, 2022, when she was seen committing the offence.
Court documents state she ‘overtook at least three vehicles whilst driving on the wrong side of the road towards oncoming traffic and through a junction of traffic lights with zig-zag markings whilst still driving on the wrong side of the road’.
On May 30, at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court she pled guilty to the offence, and a Collection Order was issued.
She was asked to pay a fine of £80, a surcharge to fund victim services of £32, and costs of £110.
In total she must pay £222, before June 13, 2023.
An application was made to deduct this sum from her benefits.
Her driving record was also endorsed with six points and her guilty plea was taken into consideration when the sentence was imposed.
