The National Science and Media Museum wants to hear from you ahead of its £6 million makeover.

The museum is set to reopen its doors in winter 2024, weeks before Bradford’s City of Culture celebrations begin.

The huge changes include two new galleries, a passenger lift, and improvements to the main entrance.

Now, museum bosses have asked for the public’s help after revealing the shortlisted names for the new galleries so far.

Potential names include Spotlight, Beyond the Screen, and Sound + Vision.

The galleries will explore five core areas of the museum’s collections: Photography, Television, Film, Sound and Gaming.

Visitors will get to see objects the fangs worn by Christopher Lee as Dracula in 1958, the earliest television equipment, Europe’s first IMAX projector, and photographs claiming to show ghostly figures.

There will also be a posing chair used to take photographs of criminals in prison.
