TWO fridge freezers on a motorway are causing traffic chaos.
The household appliances are on the eastbound carriageway, beyond junction 23 (Huddersfield).
This was first reported at 1.56pm, according to the AA.
Highways officers have been forced to shut the hard shoulder and lane one (of three) while the situation is dealt with.
This is causing vehicles to queue between junction 22 (Rishworth Moor) and junction 24 (Ainley Top), with highways cameras at junction 23 showing wall to wall traffic.
Highways England's website shows the average speed is down to 50mph at junction 22 and 29mph at junction 23.
