ANOTHER big name has been added to the line-up of a Bradford district music festival this summer.

Indie rock group The Cribs, whose songs include ‘We Share The Same Skies’, have been added to the bill at Bingley Weekender, which will be held between Friday, August 4 and Sunday, August 6, at Bradford & Bingley Rugby Club.

They will take to the stage at the festival on Saturday, August 5, alongside acts including Ian Brown and Razorlight. The Cribs, originally from Wakefield, formed in 2001 and are made up of twins Gary and Ryan Jarman, and their younger brother Ross Jarman.

Guitarist Johnny Marr, who was in The Smiths, was a member of the group between 2008 and 2011.

Bingley Weekender posted on its Facebook page: “Big news Bingley.

“Indie rock icons The Cribs will be joining us in the field on Saturday, August 5 alongside Ian Brown, Razorlight and a whole line-up of the most phenomenal artists Yorkshire's ever seen!

“Stay tuned for some more mega announcements just around the corner.”

This year's festival is being billed as the biggest and best event the organisers have hosted to date.

The bill for the weekend also includes Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, who will headline the event’s opening night.
