A popular pole fitness studio in Bradford is set to offer aerial hoop and meditation classes after moving to a bigger space.

Young entrepreneur Elise Fawcett followed her dreams by opening IN2 pole & Fitness in March 2022.

Now, more than a year later, the studio has moved to a space three times bigger with more apparatus at Virgo House, off Wakefield Road.

Pole fitness has given her students more than strength and flexibility, said Elise.

“It’s been absolutely amazing,” Elise, who lives in Bierley, said.

“I’ve seen so many of the girls and people who come flourish in the studio. I’ve had girls come and they’ve not been as confident as they are now. They’ve built so much self esteem.

“I love helping people achieve their goals. It’s so rewarding.

“There’s so many different aspects to pole. We’ve built a lovely community within the studio, a lot of people come to socialise, not just getting fit. It’s such a welcoming vibe. It’s a feel good environment.

“The benefits it has in terms of fitness, core and upper body, it’s a unique workout. There’s shapes, spins and holds. You’re using muscles you wouldn’t know existed. You build so much strength from it.”

Describing the studio’s new aerial hoops, Elise described it as a form of art.

“I see it as more of an art,” she said.

“The poses you can hold are absolutely stunning. It takes quite a bit of coordination. It really helps your flexibility. It’s something a bit different.”

In a message to other young people, the businesswoman said: “Believe in yourself, stay focused, and be persistent and patient with the journey.

“Success is not an easy road but it’s so worth it. Don’t be afraid to take risks and learn from your failures.”

Elise’s classes are open to beginners.

“Just go for it,” she said.

“Everyone’s got to start somewhere.”

Elise fell in love with the sport at nine years old.

She won several UK youth titles as well as the UK elite title at the International Pole and Aerial competitions.

Speaking previously to the Telegraph & Argus, she said: “The main prompt for me to open my own place was based on how pole fitness made me feel and wanting other women to get the same thing I did.

“Before, I was really shy and didn’t have much self-confidence.

“Teaching is my life and passion, I love seeing other people achieve from what I’ve taught them.

“It’s my life and soul, I absolutely adore teaching, I always knew I wanted to do it, I’ve got a pure passion for it.”
