PEOPLE came from Italy to help Bradfordians mark the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Bradford Cathedral and Centenary Square were the main public sites in Bradford city centre for people to unite to watch the historic event, with large screens at both venues.

Luca and Rosemary Clementi joined the congregation inside Bradford Cathedral who watched the television coverage at the Stott Hill site.

Joined by Finlay, six, and Sienna, four, the family settled into their seats to "appreciate and take in" the joyous Coronation of King Charles III.

Reflecting on what he had witnessed, he said: “It was spectacular, really stunning. It’s a moment in history that we should all appreciate and take in.

"My daughter Sienna’s favourite bit was when Queen Camilla put her crown on and my son Finlay’s favourite bit was King Charles putting his crown on.

"It is uniting the country when we have had so much upset with covid and the death of the Queen. We can turn the corner.”
