A BRADFORD district brewery’s beer festival is set to make a comeback after four years.

Saltaire Brewery Beer Festival will take place at its site in Shipley on Friday and Saturday, September 8 and 9.

It will be the first time that the event has been held at its Dockfield Road home since 2019 due to the pandemic.

For more than 10 years it was a staple in the beer festival calendar, exhibiting more than 50 beers, across four bars.

The festival will host two days of beer, street food and live music. The organisers are also bringing back the festival’s wine and prosecco bar, along with the popular gin bar. Cider will also be available over the two days of the event.

The event will be split into one session on both days. A ticket gains customers entry for the whole day and on Saturday it will be two hours longer. The festival will run between 2pm and 10pm on the Friday and from noon to 10pm the following day.

Organisers are putting together a range of cask and keg beers from around the UK. This festival has always showcased the best of Yorkshire beer, and it will also have some really exciting collaborations. The beer list for the festival will be released nearer to the date on Saltaire Brewery’s website and social media sites.

Ewan Gordon, Saltaire Brewery’s managing director, said: “We’re absolutely delighted we are able to bring our beer festival back after four years of being unable to host our much-loved event.

“With over 50 beers, across four bars, we can’t wait to welcome both the local community and a wider community of beer lovers into the brewery for what is set to be a fantastic two days of great beer, street food and live music.”

There is no on-site parking available for festivalgoers at Saltaire Brewery. There are no under-18s allowed into the festival and customers may be asked for ID upon entry, as we operate a Challenge 25 policy.

Wheelchair access is available to the majority of the festival at Saltaire Brewery, but its mezzanine area is not accessible at the moment.

A separate ticket is required for each day of the festival, and this will gain people entry, a branded glass to take home with them and a first drink.
