BRADFORD residents will have the chance to join in the seasonal family celebrations and enhance their career prospects in an Easter fair at a recently opened skills hub this week.

The event will be held from 11am and 1pm tomorrow (Thursday) at the Holme Centre on Madison Avenue behind Holme Church in Holme Wood.

Those attending can enjoy a host of attractions, including face painting, bouncy castles a tombola and raffles, as well as a free BBQ and other refreshments.

The centre is being used as a skills hub by training provider Realise to help local residents upskill.

Trainers will be on hand at the event to provide more details about the adult education courses on offer over the coming weeks.

There will also be the opportunity to sign up for Realise’s Route to Success programme which is creating more than 400 new bus drivers in West Yorkshire.

Tony Buck, partnership development officer at Realise, said: “We opened the skills hub two months ago and have seen good interest in our courses so far.

“We want to build on the momentum we have and continue to embed ourselves in the local community so are putting on this fun family event to allow us to engage with residents.”
