A POLICE chase with a stolen motorbike ended in success despite officers having to abandon the pursuit.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team - the force's dedicated initiative for tackling anti-social and dangerous driving - were out supporting neighbourhood police officers from Bradford East yesterday morning.
The two teams asked a rider on a white, black and orange Yamaha motorbike to pull over on Little Horton Lane but they failed to stop.
A police chase ensued.
Officers eventually had to abort the pursuit but were able to track down the motorbike nearby.
It was recovered and confirmed as being stolen from the Liversedge area.
