BRADFORD has been ranked in the top ten best cities in the UK to visit for a “cultural holiday”.
A study by holiday letting agents holidaycottages.co.uk ranked the city in eighth place.
The list was based on factors including the number of museums, art galleries and UNESCO sites in each city.
The data revealed that Bradford boasts 16 museums and art galleries, ten libraries and theatres, seven tours and one UNESCO site.
The list was topped by Edinburgh, which holidaycottages.co.uk said has 483 tours, 99 museums and art galleries, 28 libraries and theatres and two UNESCO sites.
Bath came second, followed by Glasgow, while Bangor and Oxford completed the top five.
Salisbury was sixth, Belfast was seventh and Canterbury and Derby came below Bradford to finish off the top ten.
Sarah Pring, Digital PR Manager at holidaycottages.co.uk, said: “With the Easter half-term holidays coming up, many families will be looking for a new adventure and knowledge to discover.
“With so much cultural heritage up and down the country, it can be difficult to narrow down exactly where that adventure will be, but we hope our research has provided some inspiration for families this Easter.”
