Spring has finally sprung! While the official first day of spring was Monday, March 20, with the recent weather, spring, let alone summer, still feels a long way off.

But look closely and the signs that nature is stirring can be seen all around. Daffodils and crocuses are coming into bloom. The first signs of the trees casting off winter can be observed, too, with a faint green haze as they come into leaf. You may have already spotted the pink and white blossom of the hawthorn.

At Britannia Care there is also a great sense of renewal – a renewed commitment to their service users. The team at Britannia Care feel that it is important never to lose sight of the Britannia Care ethos to support and promote diversity and inclusivity alongside 24/7 professional care.

Britannia Care’s founder and director, Mr Choudhry Inayat Khan, has dedicated 32 years to building Britannia Care into a care provider with a reputation delivering top quality care to residents, often with complex care needs, from all over the country, who have made Girlington their home.

Mr Choudhry Khan said: “Here at Britannia Care we feel it is important to mark out each of the four seasons, but especially spring. After the long dark days of winter, spring offers us a chance to feel rejuvenated.”

With that little bit more daylight and even with a marginal increase in temperature, Britannia Care staff are able to ensure that service users can enjoy the benefits which spring brings.

“Both staff and residents feel energised. Just being able to make the most of what we have on our doorstep puts a spring into everyone’s step,” added Mr Choudhry Khan.

Britannia Care is a purpose-built care home, designed and fully equipped to look after the needs of the people they care for – corridors and doors are wide, enabling the smooth passage of those who use a wheelchair or other supportive aids. There is lift access to all floors – again, designed to accommodate wheelchairs and supportive aids used by the residents.

Britannia Care director, Mr Anis Khan, added: “The environment here at Britannia is friendly and built around teamwork. This creates an environment which allows our team to deliver the care our residents deserve. A great atmosphere helps to deliver great care.

“We fully understand that our residents must be treated with dignity and respect at all times, and it is this approach that underpins our approach to care and Britannia Care.”

The Britannia Care’s multilingual staff have a long history of providing care to the area’s multicultural community, with 31 years of experience, knowledge and understanding in providing expert care to a diverse clientele.

Britannia Care manager, Nina Butor, added: “Spring and the overall improvement in the weather allows us to plan a different level of activity to offer our residents. It is the perfect time of year, giving everyone’s wellbeing a major uplift.”
