A MUCH-loved play park in the Bradford district was damaged in an attack over the weekend.

West Yorkshire Police reported an incident of criminal damage at Riverside Park in Ilkley.

The criminal damage was in the form of red paint, which had been sprayed on pieces of play equipment and a picnic table in the Riverside Park play area.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Sometime over the weekend, someone spray-painted several of the fittings on the new children's play area."
