A BRADFORD takeaway and sandwich shop has been given a one-star hygiene rating by the Food Standards Agency.

Peri Fusion, based on Great Horton Road, was given a score of one (out of five), with major improvement necessary, after an inspection on February 15.

The inspection revealed that major improvement is necessary for the management of food safety.

Inspectors also found that its cleanliness and condition of facilities and the building was generally satisfactory.

It ranked as generally satisfactory in the hygienic food handling category. Peri Fusion's business type is described as takeaway/sandwich shop on the Food Standards Agency website.

Peri Fusion was given a three-star rating by inspectors in its last visit in May 2021.

No representatives from Peri Fusion were available for comment when contacted by the T&A.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Meanwhile, food hygiene ratings for eateries across the Bradford district have been published by the Food Standards Agency.

Listed below are the latest findings of council inspectors, as they are back in Bradford.

Almost 4,000 premises across Bradford are rated by the Food Standards Agency, based on the findings of local authority inspectors, who work all year round.

The hygiene standards found at the time of inspection are then rated on a scale.

Five is top of the scale, meaning the hygiene standards are very good and fully comply with the law. Zero is at the bottom of the scale, meaning urgent improvement is necessary.
