Hundreds of houses in Bradford are currently without electricity as freezing temperatures and heavy snow continue across the UK.
Northern Powergrid is reporting ‘major’ power cuts across the district and has said they are ‘working on restoring it as early as possible’.
This week, the Met Office issued an amber weather warning for snow lasting until today (March 10) but a yellow warning has been in place over the weekend (March 11-12) for snow and ice.

A statement published online by Nothern Powergrid, it said: “Our regions have experienced heavy snow and ice overnight and this has started to impact our network. Our teams have been mobilised in readiness to restore supplies as safely and quickly as possible.”
“Due to some access restrictions and uncertainty of the damage caused, we will be providing generalised estimates of restorations that are subject to some uncertainty.
“We will update these to more accurate estimated restoration times as soon as we have assessed the damage caused, and the work required to restore your supply. You can see the estimated time to restore your supply on our power cut map.”
