A BRADFORD district furniture shop is to close this weekend after 17 years.

Rainbow Wood, based on Main Street, Bingley, is set to shut to customers for the final time this weekend.

It is clearing its stock inside the shop today (Friday, March 10) and tomorrow (Saturday, March 11), both between 10am and 3pm.

The store has sold items including children’s beds, bed tents, bed lights and tunnels for youngsters, children’s furniture, mattresses and wooden toys.

The store posted on its Facebook page: “Rainbow Wood are, after 17 years of trading, unfortunately closing down.

“We have lots of beds and toys to clear. Two days only. Friday, March 10 and Saturday, March 11 between 10am to 3pm.

“If you want a bed you can come in a van and take it away with you or we can arrange delivery. 103 Main Street, Bingley, BD16 2HT.”

Jamie Illingworth, Bingley Chamber of Trade president, says the shop will be sadly missed in the town.

He said: “It’s always a sad day when an independent, family-owned retailer closes their business.

“It has been a great addition to the family for the past 17 years and will be sadly missed.

“We wish them all the best for the future.”
