A new steakhouse is set to open its doors at a long-standing Bradford hotel.

Hide & Steak Bar and Grill, found at Tong Park Hotel, will serve up steaks, fusion style curries and other popular dishes.

The head chef has created a menu inspired by his international career at some of Asia’s top hotels and restaurants.

Zareen Khan’s impressive CV has taken him around the world - from working at the Burj Al Arab, Dubai, to vibrant cities like Bangkok and Tokyo.

Asmat Khanum, general manager at Tong Park Hotel, said: “Our promise, it will be a memorable visit to us, something new, and be connected to all this knowledge from all these places he’s worked at.

“Even the curries, they’re not normal curries you have in your curry house. They’re fusion curries.

“We decided to get our in house chef, who has worked in places like Dubai and Qatar, to open a steakhouse serving steaks, continental lasagnes and things like that.

“The mission is somewhere, because we’re attached to a hotel, is that vibe where you can just zone out and enjoy yourself and literally have everything in one place, where you’ve got accommodation, food going on, you can have some dessert and some shisha at the same time.”

The dessert menu will feature sweet treats such as cheesecake and gelato by the popular Bradford-based restaurant, Icestone Gelato.

Shisha will also be available on site while diners who wish to drink alcohol can bring their own bottles to the restaurant.

A range of non-alcoholic drinks will be available on the menu.

Hide & Steak Bar and Grill can be found in the former home of restaurant, Iman’s Brasserie, which closed its doors in November 2022.

The restaurant is celebrating with a grand opening on Friday, March 3 - featuring free curry and rice, a 360 photo booth, DJ, and 50 per cent discount.

Ms Khanum said: “We’re doing 50 per cent off on the first day. However if anybody does mention ‘Telegraph & Argus’ we will be doing 20 per cent off for the rest of the week.”

She added: “It’s a new venture. This place was outsourced to another company, we’ve just taken it over after a year being away from the restaurant side. We ran the Bollywood Brasserie.

“It’s going to be upmarket and modern.

“It’s a fast turnaround to get it open but we’ve decided to go for it.”
