WOMEN gathered at Bradford’s Inspirational Women Foundation for a spot of lunch with two global stars.

Jemima Khan and Sajal Aly visited Bradford last Friday (February 17) to discuss their latest film What's Love Got To Do With It?.

It was written and produced by Jemima, while Sajal stars in it.

The film, which hits cinemas on February 24, is described as Khan's love letter to Pakistan and is being appreciated for breaking cultural stereotypes, as well as myth-busting marriage and representation of Pakistan.

Jemima and Sajal were welcomed by Fatima Patel, CEO and founder of the Inspirational Women Foundation, and Bradford Council leader Susan Hinchcliffe.

Addressing the room, Cllr Hinchcliffe said: “It’s great to have Jemima here in Bradford. It’s great to welcome you to this City of Film.”

Fatima added: “It was an honour to have Jemima and Sajal in Bradford who are celebrated women by our communities and to hear firsthand about their upcoming film.”

Jemima said: “My experience of Pakistan was of a beautiful country full of hospitality and kindness – politics aside. I felt like we needed a rom-com which celebrated Pakistan and Pakistanis.”
