TWO people on a stolen bike "panicked" after trying to evade police.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team - the force's dedicated initiative for tackling anti-social and dangerous driving - were out in the Bradford East area yesterday evening.
The pair, who were on a black motorbike, tried to evade officers on Killinghall Road (A6177).
They then "panicked" and dropped the motorbike before running away.
Officers checked the vehicle and found it had been stolen from the Brighouse area last month.
A spokesperson for the Steerside Team said: "Whilst on patrol this evening on Killinghall Road, Bradford East, the two riders on this motorbike tried to evade us before panicking, dropping it and running away.
"Found to have been stolen from Brighouse last month."
Police recovered the motorbike.
