POLICE found a stolen motorbike down which had been dumped down a wooded path, after a tip-off from a member of the public.

Officers from Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) received a report of a motorbike on the Greenway, near Thornleigh Drive, in Liversedge last Thursday.

They went to the scene and, with the help of West Yorkshire Police's Off-Road Bike Team, recovered a silver bike that was found in the wooded area.

The motorbike had no registration plate but police were able to check its vehicle identification number (VIN).

This revealed the bike had been stolen.

A post from Batley and Spen NPT on its Facebook page said: "On 9th February officers would like to thank the member of public for reporting a motorbike on the Greenway near Thornleigh Drive, Liversedge.
