POLICE are appealing for information after a male was injured in what they have described as a suspected targeted attack.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At around 10am this morning officers were called to reports of an assault at a property on Glenwood Avenue in Baildon.

"On arrival, officers found an injured male who has been taken to hospital for treatment.

"Two suspects made off from the scene in the direction of Roberts Park.

"Initial enquiries suggest that this was a targeted attack and there is no threat to the wider public."

A police scene was in place earlier today.

"Local patrols from the neighbourhood team have been stepped up to provide reassurance," a spokesperson added.

"Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area this morning who may have seen the incident or two males with balaclavas on to come forward."
