IT HAS been a relatively quiet few weeks for the Bantams, with them having had just one game since January 14.

But community work is something that has long been important to City, so two of their first-team squad were kept busy earlier this week.

Goalkeeper Harry Lewis and midfielder Ryan East were in Keighley on Tuesday, at the newly-opened Oastlers School in the town.

The school were celebrating the opening of their new outdoor games area with a mini football tournament.

Learners from the Bradford and Keighley Oastlers sites were in attendance, as were Lewis and East, who posed for pictures with head of centre Robert Fairbairn and assistant head Sean Regan, the latter also a coach for the Bantams' Football Development Programme.

Oastlers headteacher Lyndsey Brown said: "What a wonderful way this was to celebrate and open our new play area.

"We are delighted that Bradford City have been able to make this a very special day for all of our young people.

"It's a day the children certainly won't forget in a hurry."
