A DRIVER has been fined for speeding on a motorway in Bradford.

Rizwan Ali Hanif, 40, of Fairbank Road, Bradford, faced one charge of speeding – motor vehicle exceeding 70mph on a dual carriageway.

He was caught by manned equipment speeding at 90mph in a 70mph zone of the M606 in Bradford. The offence took place on August 18, 2022 and was contrary to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Hanif was handed three driving licence points, fined £220 and ordered to pay £90 costs and an £88 victim surcharge. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.

The case against Hanif was proved at a single justice procedure hearing held at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on January 18, 2023.
