A MAN has been fined after speeding at more than double the restricted limit on a section of a motorway in Bradford.
Marcus Price, 20, of Brodley Close, Hipperholme, Brighouse, faced one charge of exceeding a 50mph speed restriction on a special road/motorway.
He was clocked through an automatic camera device driving at 114mph in a 50mph speed limit section of the M606 southbound 150 yards south of the slip to Chainbar roundabout. The offence took place on January 14, 2022.
This offence was contrary to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
Price was handed six driving licence points, fined £600 and ordered to pay £110 costs and a £60 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
Price pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on January 6, 2023.
