A SERIES of events celebrating the people and stories of an iconic Bradford market will take place ahead of its planned demolition this year.

Bradford Producing Hub is supporting independent Bradford producer and arts facilitator, Chemaine Cooke, to present Oastler Market Speaks.

The celebration of the Oastler Shopping Centre – the former John Street Market – is running until April, ahead of its planned demolition in late 2023.

The project will see artists and traders working together to programme performances to celebrate the history and diversity of the market .

Throughout the programme there will also be a memory wall where people can share their memories of Bradford markets over the years.

All events are drop-in, and no pre-booking is required unless otherwise stated.
