FAMILES of babies signed up to Bradford Libraries are entitled to a discounted photo shoot.

As part of a push to get more children reading, babies can be signed up to join libraries at Registry Offices at Bradford and Keighley.

Bradford City Library has now joined forces with award-winning photographer Tim Simpson who will run Photo Booth sessions once a month.

Tickets, at a discounted cost of £5, can be booked online via Ticket Source and will include a 30-minute photo booth slot and an 8 x 6” colour photograph of the baby. Families will receive a personal password protected link to view more photos and the option to order more prints.

Photo sessions will take place at Bradford City Library on Wednesdays, 1 February, 1 March and 5 April.

Wind the Bobbin Up for annual under 5s challenge

Bradford City Library’s free weekly Rhyme Time session will take place from 10-11am on the same day, so families can spend the morning at the library. The sessions include songs and rhymes, exploring books and the opportunity to meet other parents and carers.

These sessions help introduce families to the library, can be good for new parents’ mental health and help to develop children’s speech and language skills, a pre-cursor to learning to read.

The printed photographs will be available to collect two weeks later at the Rhyme Time session.

More Baby Photo Booth dates will be added later in the year.
