A PERSON was rushed to hospital after a crash at a major junction.

West Yorkshire Police was called to reports of a collision on Tong Lane, where it meets Roker Lane, at 3.45pm.

Officers went to the scene and discovered the crash two vehicles.

A witness said: "There was a crash at Roker Lane, it happened a minute before I got there.

"There were two cars and two police cars.

"Traffic started piling up behind me".

One individual was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

The collision was reportedly cleared at 4.31pm.

A full statement from West Yorkshire Police said: "We were called at 3.45pm today to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the junction of Roker Lane and Tong Road.

"One person was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries."
