SCHOOLS in the Bradford district have been affected by snowy and icy weather this morning. 

Stanbury Village School will not open until 10am due to snow, it was announced on Bradford Council's emergency closures website.

Riddlesden St Mary's CofE Primary School will also not open until 10am, due to icy conditions.

A risk assessment of the school grounds was carried out and its breakfast club is also closed.

The top gate at the school will be closed for the whole day, and the school has asked staff and students to take extra care on their journeys this morning.

The school will do another risk assessment at 8.30am and keep people updated.

Keighley St Andrew's CofE Primary School & Nursery is also delaying opening until 10am due to icy conditons.

A further risk assessment will be carried out at 8.30am and people will be updated in due course.

Meanwhile, St Paul's CofE Primary School in Wibsey has had to turn off its boiler and heating system and will be closed for the whole day.
