A MAN has been fined after he was caught driving without insurance and using a mobile phone while at the wheel.
Court documents state that Reece Southgate, 23, of Coach Road, Baildon, did not have third-party insurance when driving on Bingley Road, Saltaire, on October 7, 2022.
He was also charged with using a mobile phone while driving on the same date and at the same location.
Southgate was handed six driving licence points, fined £660, ordered to pay a £264 victim surcharge and £90 costs for the insurance charge.
There was no separate penalty for the other charge.
The case against Southgate was proved at a single justice procedure hearing, held at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on January 4.
