DETECTIVES are investigating a potential shooting incident at a house in Bradford.

Officers were called to Christopher Court, near Thorp Garth, Idle, at 1:34am on 11 January after reports that two men armed with a firearm approached a house and discharged the weapon.

No one was injured.

A scene is currently in place to undergo forensic examination and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Holdsworth of West Yorkshire Police said: “Clearly any firearms discharge will cause some concern in the local community, and I would like to reassure members of the public that we take all firearms incidents extremely seriously and we have extensive enquiries underway to identify those responsible.

“Neighbourhood Patrols have been stepped up in the area to provide reassurance.

“We would also urge anyone who witnesses anything suspicious in the area or with any other information that might help us in our ongoing investigation to get in contact.”
