CHRIS Roberts, of Bradford & Bingley Weatherline, brings us the latest of his regular weekend weather forecasts.

General

A low pressure system moves away to our north east, to be replaced by another low pressure system.

This will bring a brief spell of quieter and drier weather on Friday, but low pressure is back again on Friday night bringing an unsettled weekend and a tad cooler later.

Saturday

Wet and windy with blustery and occasionally heavy showers through the morning, to be replaced by brighter conditions for a time. But with the ever-present chance of some light showers into the afternoon.

Very hit and miss, though, and some parts could stay dry.

Temperatures from 11C in the morning but falling back to 6C in the evening in a moderate to occasionally fresh, maybe gale force over the highest parts of the region, SSW breeze.

The evening should be drier but a shower in the night can’t be ruled out. Lows of 6C in a fresh SSW breeze.

Sunday

A breezy but cooler day with the odd shower brought in on the blustery breeze.

A glimpse of the sun is possible between showers into the afternoon.

It will feel cold. Temperatures average at 6C to only 7C in a fresh SW breeze.

The evening will remain breezy with showers. Lows of 4C in a fresh SW breeze.

Further Outlook

Windy and unsettled with heavy blustery showers and a conveyor belt of weather fronts with a few brighter spells between them. Temperatures up and down but settling to average by the end of the week.
