A MAN was taken to hospital after being injured in a two-car crash this afternoon (Friday).

Several police cars and the ambulance service responded to the crash on Broad Lane in Bramley.

A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We received an emergency call at 4.10pm today to reports of two cars involved in a road traffic collision.

"We dispatched an ambulance and rapid response vehicle.

"One male patient was conveyed to Leeds General Infirmary."

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire also said: "Police were called to Broad Lane at about 4.13pm today following a collision involving two cars.

"One man was taken to hospital as a precaution and the road was re-opened at 5.24pm."
