An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire at a hotel in Bradford city centre.
Emergency services were called to The Great Victoria Hotel, on Drake Street at 5.57am on December 27, 2022.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) received reports of smoke coming from a hotel room.
Crews rescued one man in his 40s from the hotel room and he was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
The hotel room also faced fire damage, a spokesperson for Bradford station confirmed.
Firefighters from Bradford and Shipley attended. WYFRS sent the fire investigation team and one of the service’s 4x4 vehicles known as CLM.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Firefighters have since left the scene.
The Great Victoria Hotel did not wish to comment when approached by the Telegraph & Argus.
