A BRADFORD shopkeeper made the heartwarming gesture of gifting a bag of groceries to a desperate mother of three.
The owner of convenience store Nisa, on Saltaire Road, says they feel more like a social worker amid the cost of living crisis.
They say the single mum tried to steal toilet roll, claiming she had no money until after Christmas.
The shopkeeper responded with the kind gift and told her to return if she was ever short of essentials in the future.
Thank you for the lovely messages, the reason for he tweet was actually to highlight the plight of I imagine many people at this moment of time, I've always had requests for credit until the next pay day but never for bare essentials, how has it come to this?
