A man who was seriously injured in a crash remains in hospital today (Friday, December 16).
The incident saw a blue Ford EcoSport SUV collide with an unoccupied double-decker bus parked up on the A658 Pool Bank New Road, near the junction with Old Lane.
A 69-year-old passenger in the Ford received serious injuries and remains in hospital. The driver - a 51-year-old man - received minor injuries.
It took place around 2.06pm on Thursday, December 15. Emergency services shut down the road until 10.45pm as part of their investigation.
The incident caused extensive damage to both vehicles.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the circumstances leading up to it.
Police have also urged anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forwards.
