A POPULAR Bradford city centre music venue has said it will not accept abuse or threats towards workers following a series of complaints.

Nightrain, based on Queensgate, addressed the issue of denying people entry without any identification in a Facebook post.

It read: "In recent weeks, we have had some complaints at Nightrain concerning the rules surrounding accessibility for people between 14-17 years old and explicitly denying access to people without any identification.

"Nightrain is governed by a licence to sell alcohol and allow live performances at the venue.

"The consequence of failing to abide by the conditions is that we can lose our ability to run our business with immediate effect.

"It is for this reason alone that we deny access to anyone without identification.

"It is clearly stated on Ticketweb when purchasing tickets whether the event is accessible to 14+ when attending with an adult but we recognise it isn’t as clear as to what identification is expected.

"On non-event days, 14-17 year-olds must be off the premises by 7pm.

"Denying access without identification is not a personal decision and we will not accept any abuse or threats toward our employees or business."

Nightrain said they accept Post Office PASS cards and CitizenCards.
