PEOPLE are being encouraged to drop off supplies to help support victims of the war in Ukraine.

The collection is being coordinated by full-fibre broadband provider Brsk.

Items can be dropped off at various locations across Bradford.

Items most needed include:

  • Warm clothing – women’s, men’s and children’s hats, socks, gloves, boots, coats, scarves etc.
  • Food items: Dry goods in sealed packaging including tinned foods, nuts, crisps, salt, pepper etc.
  • Blankets and bedding
  • First aid kits
  • Toys

Brsk will be using its own vans to stock up on donated items and all supplies will then be given to the Ukranian Community Centre on Legrams Lane, Lidget Green, for its monthly trip to Ukraine.

Liam Chew, Brsk community engagement manager said: “It’s important to us that we support the local community where we’re building our broadband network.

"We don’t want to just improve how residents can connect - we know that a big part of the community here are people of Ukraine who have suffered themselves, or still have loved ones back home suffering the effects of war.

"Christmas can be a difficult time for many, these collections are our way of showing our support and giving back, we aim to do whatever we can to help”.
