HALIFAX-based Leo Group Ltd has announced the appointment of Jane Brindle as the new and first female chair of the Foodchain and Biomass Renewables Association (FABRA UK), a leading authority on the use, value and biosecurity of animal by-products.

Jane has gained extensive experience in the meat industry for over 20 years before joining Leo Group in February 2011.

She was appointed as FABRA's chair at the last AGM on November 17 for a term of two years.

She said: "I look forward to the challenges ahead and I am proud to represent all FABRA members."

"Jane has been with the group for over 10 years and has been instrumental in delivering our environmental permit changes for all new processes introduced across the group.”
