THE winner of this year’s The Apprentice TV show said Bradford has played an important part in her business success as she shared her knowledge in the city.

Harpreet Kaur, who impressed Lord Sugar on the BBC show earlier this year, runs the Oh So Yum! dessert parlour business which opened a branch on White Abbey Road, Bradford, in August this year.

She was back in the city to help launch of the Build Your Business programme.

Harpreet gave her tips for success in business, which included making sure a new business idea is commercially viable and picking yourself up after a failure in business.

She said she plans on further expanding her business within West Yorkshire and is excited she has launched online too.

Harpreet said she was inspired to start her business after visiting a dessert parlour in Bradford seven years ago.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

She said: “Bradford was a powerhouse in business and people came from out of town to eat in Bradford when I first set up in business.

“It is really great to have opened up in this community. I can’t wait to keep expanding my business.

“I have been through this absolute rollercoaster since I was thrust into the limelight on The Apprentice. I have been working hard since I came out of The Apprentice. A good location in Bradford is hard to come by. I wanted to set up a little bit out of the way.

“I’m loving it. There are so many opportunities coming from this (appearing on The Apprentice).

“If I can do it, then so can anybody else.”
