A BRADFORD school has urged parents to set a good example for children following recent incidents.

Parents at Farnham Primary School, on Stratford Road in Little Horton, say they have been verbally abused by other parents at the start and end of the school day.

The complaints led to Farnham Primary's headteacher Baljit Bains reminding everyone about the three school rules in a recent newsletter.

It read: "I have had two complaints from parents saying they have been verbally abused or spoken to very rudely by other parents including use of bad language at the beginning or end of the school day.

"Might I ask that we remember to set a good example for our children and always speak to each other with respect and courtesy.

"Our school rules are:

  • Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself. (Respect each other’s space and do not push, kick or physically hurt others around you).
  • Speak politely to others (Be respectful and kind and do not use bad language or swear words).
  • Always follow instructions from a known adult in school (Listen to adults so that everyone feels safe and can focus on their learning)."
