THE winner of this year’s series of The Apprentice, who has a dessert parlour in Bradford, will share her business knowledge at an event in the city.

Harpreet Kaur, who impressed Lord Sugar on the BBC show earlier this year, runs the Oh So Yum! dessert parlour business which opened a branch on White Abbey Road, Bradford, in August this year.

She will be the keynote speaker at the launch of the Build Your Business programme. This event will be held at City Hall, the council’s headquarters in Bradford, on Thursday, December 8.

Build Your Business is a new programme that helps local people turn their business ideas into reality. For those thinking of starting their own business or becoming self-employed, have an idea and would like some help with turning it into a sustainable business, this free programme is for them.

Dedicated business enterprise coaches are available in many areas of the district and beyond, providing 1:1 support to get businesses off the ground.

The programme’s partners and backers include Impact Hub Bradford, Bradford Council, Participate, Bradford Trident, Inspired Neighbourhoods and Cnet.

At this week’s event, participants will hear from some of the entrepreneurs who have benefitted from the programme.
