WIBSEY village will host a Christmas Market as part of its annual lights switch-on festivities on Saturday, December 3.

The village’s Events Group is organising the Market on Wibsey High Street between 11am and 4.30pm, in a new venture aiming to build on several years of successful Christmas switch on events.

This year, Wibsey Primary School choir will sing around the tree at 3.30pm, followed by music from Clifton and Lightcliffe Brass Band, with stars from Bradford Bulls switching on the lights at 4pm.

Hot drinks and mince pies will be on offer in Wibsey Library following the switch-on.

More than 20 stalls will be selling a range of festive and other goods, and there will also be Santa’s grotto.

To enable the Christmas Market to take place safely in a pedestrianised setting, the High Street will be closed from Smith Avenue to North Road from 8am to 8pm.
