A PROBLEM property linked to anti-social behaviour and crime on a Bradford street has been shut down.
Officers from the Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and social housing provider Yorkshire Housing worked together to provide a catalogue of evidence highlighting issues around Flat 7 on 12 Parkfield Road, Manningham.
A premises closure order was granted at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Count on November 24 following an application from the West Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Housing.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The court was satisfied there had been disorderly, offensive, or criminal behaviour on the premises.
"Evidence showed that the address had been linked to drug use, drug paraphernalia and detritus items being left in communal areas.
"Also, the continual disturbances day and night with visitors ringing buzzers and throwing stones at the window to gain entry.
"The closure order lasts for three months and the address has been sealed up.
"Anyone who breaches the order by entering the premises commits an offence and can be arrested."

Inspector Andy Milner who heads the Bradford West NPT, said: “The criminal and anti-social behaviour linked to this property has been seriously affecting the lives of nearby residents.
‘We have worked hard with our partners to secure this closure order and by shutting down the address will stop the problem.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and encourage residents to report any further incidents to us so we can take appropriate action.”
Councillor Abdul Jabar, Bradford Council's portfolio holder for neighbourhoods and community safety, said: “This joint action with the police and Yorkshire Housing will hopefully put a stop to this awful situation and bring peace to residents of the neighbouring properties.
"It also sends out a clear message that anti-social behaviour and criminal activity will not be tolerated.”
Emma Standing, tenancy enforcement officer at Yorkshire Housing, added: “We take all complaints of anti-social behaviour extremely seriously.
"Everyone should have the right to feel safe and comfortable in their own home, and we are committed to working with our partners to take action whenever problems occur.”
