A BRADFORD man, 23, has been jailed and disqualified again after being caught behind the wheel while banned.

Umar Mahmood, of Wensleydale Road, Bradford, was found guilty of driving while disqualified at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on November 17.

He was also found guilty of using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.

He had earlier pleaded guilty to possessing a driving licence or counterpart with intent to deceive.

He admitted having in his possession a document so closely resembling a licence as to be calculated to deceive.

The charges relate to the same date, June 5, at Pickles Lane in Bradford.

Magistrates handed Mahmood a sentence of 12 weeks imprisonment and ordered him to pay a total of £746 to the courts, £620 of which was court costs.

He was also disqualified from driving again for 40 months.
