AIREDALE & Bradford RSPB Local Group invites people to its monthly illustrated talk at the Kirkgate Centre in Shipley

Two local speakers will be taking part:

Wendy Robinson will be talking about rewilding, conservation and some exciting projects in and around Shipley.

Paul Barrett will be recounting a recent trip to the Outer Hebrides and Orkneys. As well as the fauna and flora, he will talk about prehistoric standing stones, Neolithic buildings and Orkney's intriguing Second World War Chapel built by Italian prisoners of war.

The group’s aim is to support actively the work of the RSPB in the local community and to involve RSPB members and the wider public in the society’s conservation, public affairs, education, fundraising and other activities. They have monthly indoor meetings locally from September to April and have occasional nature walks in the local area.

Anyone who would like to have fun and meet like-minded people can contact them and help make a difference for birds and wildlife.

The talks take place on Friday December 9 at 7.30pm at the Kirkgate Centre, 39A Kirkgate, Shipley, BD18 3EH.

Admission is £3 (Accompanied children free).
