PEOPLE who are in the south of Bradford may hear a siren on Thursday morning and night.

It’s because Low Moor-based Solenis is carrying out a test of its off-site emergency siren at 10am and 8pm.

A spokesperson said: “The siren, which produces a sound of increasing and decreasing pitch, will operate for one minute on each occasion.

“There is no need for members of the public, who hear the siren, to take any action.

“The emergency services have been informed of the test sounding of the siren.

“Residents living within the Public Information Zone around the Solenis site at Low Moor have received a leaflet giving details of this test in July 2017.

“However, if they are new to the area or have lost the leaflet and would like a copy please contact Solenis.

“The test sounding is being carried out as part of the company’s obligations under the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations 2015 (COMAH Regulations).”
