A UNIVERSITY of Bradford staff member appeared on one of TV’s most popular gameshows.

Cilla, an admin manager at the city’s university, was one of the three contestants on BBC One’s The Wheel, hosted by Michael McIntyre.

She was the first contestant to be randomly picked to win cash for the total, but, after consulting with former Paralympic gold medallist Ellie Simmonds, she got her multiple choice question wrong.

She was asked: ‘In a January 2021 survey by YouGov, which of these was chosen as the UK’s favourite takeaway?’ They opted for Indian, but the correct answer was Chinese.

Unfortunately for Cilla she was not given another opportunity to take part in last Saturday’s edition and one of her fellow contestants went on to win £116,000.
