A suspect has been arrested and charged with burgling 18 homes in Bradford.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell, of West Yorkshire Police, who is responsible for dealing with serious and organised crime within the district, shared the news on Twitter this morning.

The force's Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPT) and crime teams helped with arresting and charging the man.

DCI Farrell said he was charged with 18 residential burglaries.

His tweet in full said: "Really proud of the fantastic team efforts of our neighbourhoods and crime teams over the weekend.

"Well done team."
