IT was with some sadness that I heard that Roger had suffered a stroke recently.

Having spoken to him since then, I am pleased to say that his mental faculties are still as sharp as ever, but he is struggling with his walking, needing the aid of two sticks.

Over the years he has been a tremendous supporter of Skipton and Craven in general. Now is the time for us to repay that support. He is out every day, on his sticks, building his strength up. If you see him, take time out, have an encouraging word.

He needs, and deserves, our help. People like Roger don’t come along every day. Keep going old lad.
